Since 1869, the famous knives with the world-famous Boker tree brand have been manufactured by hand in Solingen, the city of blades. It fills us with great pride when we look back on our continuous history, on the eventful history through which our company has gone over the course of 15 decades. And we also see this as a great obligation to remain true to our philosophy.
Today we can look back on 150 years of company history in which Boker Manufactory continuously and without pause, with its ear to the market, ensures innovations in the knife industry. With new ideas, but also with the preservation of our traditional values and the sustainable treatment of our environment, our range today stands for the highest quality and unparalleled diversity. The long history of Boker Baumwerk is marked by eventful times. But one thing has always remained the same in 150 years: Our passion and enthusiasm for exceptional knives. The international success of our product range and the long tradition of our knife manufacture are both an incentive and an obligation for us to continue designing and manufacturing high-quality and innovative knives in the future.
The well-balanced mixture of traditional knives and the high significance of manual work in our Solingen factory, combined with the great vertical range of manufacture and the proverbial attention to detail, which goes hand in hand with innovative and pioneering projects using the latest CNC technology, inspires a very broad spectrum of knife lovers and users and gives us the leading market position that we occupy in the field of sports knives throughout Europe today. The very positive response we have received from our international clientele shows that the path we have taken is the right one.
We are celebrating our 150th company year with a wealth of spectacular projects, which you will find on the following pages. A broad anniversary series with mono steel blades as well as a series of very special damask knives, in which every buyer holds an authentic piece of Boker history in his hands, are not the only highlights. For the new Böker steam engine damask we have forged a part of the shaft of the huge transmission wheel of the original 19th century steam engine, which stands as a historical piece on our company premises. Every buyer owns a unique knife and not only symbolically holds a real, physical piece of our Boker history in his hands.
