Boar Spear

The cold weapon is always the last resort when hunting. The hunter prefers not to have to use it. However, with regard to the safety of the dogs, its use may be unavoidable during searches. If this is the case, a sufficiently long stock offers more distance and therefore more safety than a scavenger held directly in the hand.

The modular Boker Magnum HL Boar Spear has been carefully designed to meet the requirements of modern hunting. At its heart is the double-edged 22.9 cm long and 4.8 mm thick blade made of 440B stainless steel. The cylindrical handle made of 6061 aircraft aluminum is equipped with a 7.3 cm wide solid crossguard. The interceptor knife can be held directly in the hand, but is primarily optimized for mounting on the stock.

The stock consists of three 50.5 cm long tubular segments, also made of 6061 aircraft aluminum with an outer diameter of 3.3 cm. The segments are connected via double snap bolts. This design, taken from panel construction, is primarily intended to withstand bending and torsional forces. The tolerances of the fits have been deliberately increased to ensure greater resistance to dirt while maintaining stability. Each segment and the knife handle are provided with a checkering to increase grip safety. The last segment is also fitted with a solid rubber stopper. This allows the shaft to be used as a climbing aid on embankments or when crossing streams. The total length of the mounted catcher is 1.74 m.

The interceptor knife can be carried on the belt with a separate sewn and additionally riveted nylon sheath. All components of the set: Knife including sheath as well as the pipe segments, can be completely stored in the supplied nylon pouch with two molle-compatible belt loops. The pouch measures 55 x 24 cm.
