This innovative interpretation of the Kalashnikov series is designed for our line of Boker Plus knives. The blade of the automatic knife is made of D2 steel. Structured finger grooves on the aluminum handle provide a secure grip. The push button allows convenient opening and unlocking of the knife.

The Action is Smooth, Stable and Swift

I bought mine from Blade HQ. The action is smooth, stable and swift. The 3.35oz weight is perfect. The 3.77oz weight of the 74 auto makes a heavier difference if that is what you are looking for, but the blade is not as crisp in the opening.

excellent response to request for Kalashnikov Auto main spring replacement.

Not only did they immediately send me 2 springs at no cost, they offered to do the work themselves under warranty. I had already dissembled the knife to find the problem so my warranty should have been voided. This is the kind of company I want to do business with. I enjoyed my little Kalashnikov Auto so much that when I saw the slightly larger strike I ordered it from a local dealer also. I love it and it is a great value. I will say there are cheapo knock offs of these knives and they are junk. So make sure they are legit.

If I could get a response from Boker about obtaining a replacement spring to open the blade, I think the company would be showing more support for their knives.

What's not to love about these knives, D2 is some of the toughest and best knife steel today and with the textured grip on the scales, The action is smooth on the D2 model, however the first Kalashnikov I purchased was not made from D2 steel and I found myself constantly needing to sharpen the blade, albeit the blade would sharpen quicker...it also dulled quicker. Then I mainspring broke and I am having trouble obtaining the correct replacement part for this knife. The second Kalashnikov I purchased was made from D2 steel and I will eagerly give it a 10 as it performs flawlessly.
