FRP
Fibre-reinforced plastic, short FRP, is a composite material made of a polymer matrix reinfored with glass fibres. In knife production, it is mainly used for handles. Different combinations lead to diverse end products. It is important that the used materials are similar in their properties and processing possibilities and that they fit together. Originally, this technology came from the aerospace and defence industries, where particularly powerful and lightweight materials are required. Glassfibre-reinforced plastics are irreplaceable in many areas today.
