Thumb Opening

A Thumb Opening makes it easier to open a knife with one hand. The thumb puts pressure on the edge of a hole in the blade. It is a quick way to open the blade. Thumb openings exist in countless shapes; the round eye is a registered trademark of Spyderco. Sal Glesser patented this feature in 1981.
