Although we have seen many of Boker's products over the years, resourceful knife makers continue to find ways to surprise us. For instance, Brad Zinker from Florida with his Urban Trapper, one of the thinnest profile titanium framelocks we have ever experienced. At a mere 8 mm grip thickness (without clip), the term "slim" only inadequately characterizes the Urban Trapper for its usable size. The large bores and titanium transform the Urban Trapper into a true lightweight at only 48 g that can be extremely conveniently carried in a suit pocket or light summer trousers alike. Considering the minimalist overall design of the knife, the size of the flipper is equally sparing. When used, it impresses nevertheless with its outstanding functionality, and reliably opens the ball bearing hinged VG-10 blade. The blade shape of this classic trapper pocket knife, widely distributed throughout the US and worn by Brad Zinker for many years, was the inspiration for this unusual piece. With high-quality nylon case for storage.

Get an extra clip when you buy this knife

This knife was absolutely my favorite knife to carry. I was walking in my garage and the clip caught on an EMPTY cardboard box and the clip snapped. This should be A) covered by warranty, or B) make a better clip.

Elegant lines

In my search for a gentleman's folder with real EDC qualities, I ended up with the Urban Trapper 42 and feel very comfortable with it. The knife is razor sharp, very thin, slim and light, has elegant lines and can be completely retracted into the trouser pocket at the clip. In relation to the handle, the blade is extremely long.
Unfortunately, the frame lock cannot be released as easily as the blade can be opened and closed. Hard steel on relatively soft titanium is not a particularly good combination here. It jams. Not bad, but perhaps a little too stiff for the faint-hearted.

Love the knife, I have a Buck titanium as well, but I carry this one more often since it is lighter. I broke the clip though you may need to work on that.

Broken clip

On my second urban trapper. First one was lost due to the weak pocket clip. Just broke the clip on second one. wish there was a replacement or improved clip for these
